The dilapidated wooden bridge near Kedai Runcit Yap Sing Kee in Jalan
Cecily was upgraded after the condition was brought to the attention of Batu
Sapi Member of Parliament Datuk Linda Tsen Thau Lin.
The bridge links nearly 20 families
to the main Jalan Cecily and village folks have expressed their concerns on
their safety due to its deteriorating condition.
Linda immediately instructed her
aides to address the matter to allay villagers’ fear after she visited the
village to get a first hand look at the structure.
The bridge was upgraded to concrete
utilizing Linda’s MP Fund. She made a second visit to the village to inspect
the structure upon the completion of the project.
Villagers thanked Linda for her
prompt response in addressing the problem raised by them.
“We give emphasis to the safety and
convenience of the people,” Linda said.
