SANDAKAN:-Sandakan’s Society for the Prevention of Cruelty
to Animal (SPCA) will be hosting the “Voice for the Voiceless” SPCA Annual
Charity Dinner this year on the 6th of August (Saturday) starting 6:30pm at
Sandakan Hakka Association Multi-Purpose Hall, SPCA extends its warmest welcome
to those of you who are loving and compassionate to support the cause by
joining SPCA on this meaningful night.
With Sandakan’s animal welfare in mind, the wounded, the lost and
the abandoned, Organizing Chairman Mr. Lim Vui Lun together with SPCA committee
members have put a lot of hard work in orchestrating this charity dinner with
one goal in mind – to provide our innocent furry friends with a better life.
Mr. Lim expressed that the purpose of this charity dinner is to raise fund for
the benefit of SPCA Sandakan, in order to cover the daily expenditures such as
animal feed, medical supplies and upkeep of the shelter and facilities, etc.
Lim added that SPCA’s animal shelter located at Mile 8 Jalan Datuk Tay is
facing a constant shortage of fund, resulting in insufficient feed for the ever
increasing sheltered animal, moreover, the lack of voluntary members makes
carrying out animal protection tasks extremely challenging.
Lim informed that the tickets for this year’s annual charity
dinner are set at three respective prices: RM80, RM120 and RM200 each per
person, the public’s enthusiasm in purchasing the tickets is highly anticipated
and such joint contribution will go towards bettering the animal’s lives. For
