KOTA KINABALU: Sabah MCA Information chief Heng Lek Kun
passed away at his home in Sandakan early Saturday.
Heng, 53, died at his
house in Taman Indah Jaya around 2am. He leaves behind a wife and two sons aged
22 and 18.
Heng suffered
breathing difficulties and passed away before the arrival of an ambulance.
His friends said he
was his normal self while attending a Sandakan Teo Chew Association committee
meeting on Friday.
Heng was the adviser
of Sandakan Teo Chew Youth movement and a member of the association's main
committee.
He was also a member
of Sandakan MCA division committee.
Heng was a veteran
journalist and the chief reporter of a local Chinese language newspaper.
